Although its still quite early in the project, ‘Rebecca at the Well’ has already become a hot topic of discussion. Project participants tend to agree that the statue of Rebecca at the Well was a loved part of the park, but there is some disagreement over where exactly she stood and what happened to her over the years.
Raymond Prior shares an excerpt from his Aunt Vivien Hirst’s autobiography, based on the reminiscences he helped her gather into a book. She remembers the statue of Rebecca fondly.
